Home of the Frugal-philetm -- the planet_10 hifi mission is to bring unique & value oriented products to the DIY community.

Note: please excuse the "dust" as we renovate this website. Some parts are woefully out-of-date. Our 1 and 3/2 man operation will soon get to catching up & i'll have more time to work on this.

Custom Speaker Enclosures

We are now taking orders for, and shipping the miniOnken for FR125/WR125 and the Fonken, a similar cabinet for a Fostex FE127e. Available unfinished, in a number of standard veneers, or in more exotic livery, with or without drivers -- each pair is made to your order.

More designs are on the way, including floorstanding bipole versions of the above -- the Bipoler miniOnkens and BiFonkens.

We have special pricing on prototype boxes (we are only offering the ones that worked -- the ones that didn't have already been burned). This includes 3 variations on bipole ML-TLs for the CSS drivers, the Bipolar Bipole prototypes, and a bipole ML-TL for Fostex FE127E (these will get there own picture page soon)

We also build enclosures custom built to your specification, including any number of diy designs including the A126 & (soon) the Frugel-Horn.

Please send

Vintage HiFi

This business got its start with recycling vintage drivers & other vintage hifi. As these items typically arrive irregularily and in small numbers these were most often sold on eBay. This portion of the business is moving into a new phase. In the past items have usually been sold on eBay. We are now working on a new model. An old associate, and good friend, Barry Plewes, is taking this on as his primary role. We have a laundry list of available products that we will be putting up on a new section of this site and are working on demonstartion facilities in Sidney to demonstrate systems to local clientele. If you can't wait contact Barry.

We have a large range of electronics, speakers, sources, and other goodies. Most of the items are of a nature to provide frugal-philetm systems eho want to get a musically satisfying system on a modest budget. Why listen to a boom-box when you could have a real hifi.

The nature of this business tends to accumulate things -- i may have what you are looking for sitting in my "warehouse".
